Invasive Plant & Habitat Improvement Workshop June 1st- Sessions Woods W.M.A
The workshop covered prioritization of invasive plant control efforts with limited resources, removal efforts, and the selective use of native plants to improve wildlife habitat. It concludde with a guided site walk at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area, where invasive plant removal and restoration projects are underway.

CIPWG wins awards for educational display
The CIPWG invasive plants display won 1st place in Section B, Class 6 (Educational exhibits) at the “Capture the Magic” 30th annual Connecticut Flower and Garden Show. The award was given by the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc.
The CIPWG display also won a “Connecticut Silver and Blue” ribbon, which may be given to Educational or Special Exhibits scoring 90 or more.
CIPWG thanks the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut for the awards and the opportunity to present information about Connecticut’s Invasive Plants to the attendees at the Flower and Garden Show.
