Garden Conference

January 3, 2005**

The University of Connecticut is sponsoring the "Garden Conference" to be held at the University of Connecticut on Tuesday, March 8, 2005. It will be held at the Lewis B. Rome Commons on the Storrs campus in Storrs, CT. This all-day educational conference will appeal to the garden enthusiast.

The keynote speaker is Dan Heims, president of Terra Nova Nurseries in Tigard, OR. Terra Nova Nurseries is well known for its new introductions to horticulture. Dan's articles and photography have appeared in Fine Gardening, Better Homes and Gardens, Organic Gardening and Sunset Magazine. Mr. Heims will be speaking on "Shade Gardening with New Perennials." His presentation will feature gorgeous plant combinations for successful gardening in the shade.

There is a pre-registration fee of $60 per person if post marked on or before March 1st. The fee is $70 per person if post marked after March 1st.
