Biological Control in Ornamental Greenhouses:
Putting It All Together

The University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension, University of Massachusetts Extension and Northeast SARE are sponsoring the educational program,

 “Biological Control in Ornamental Greenhouses – Putting it All Together” at the Tolland County Extension Center on Thursday, September 17, 2009.

 This one day educational program will feature the following speakers:

  • Ron Valentin from Biobest Biological Systems who will be speaking on  “A Systems Approach toward Biological Control: Putting it all Together”.

              

  • Suzanne Wainwright-Evans, from Buglady Consulting, who will be speaking on “Case Studies: Why Biological Control Programs succeed and why they fail”

 

  • Carol Glenister from IPM Laboratories Inc will be speaking on “Guardian Plants to Assure and Evaluate Natural Enemy Survival, Reproduction and Effectiveness

 

The registration fee of $35.00 per person includes handouts, lunch (pizza), AM coffee, and beverages during breaks. 4.5 pesticide recertification credits for attendees from CT, MA, RI, ME, NH, and VT have been applied for (pending state approval).
