Located in area in middle of Grad Dorms.
- leaves opposite, lanceolate (longer than wide), with serrated margins
- leaves light green
- buds rounded, brown, imbricate
- stems slender, smooth, yellow-brown
- flowers white, in racemes, in mid-spring
- fruit is a round capsule with a pore on top, though which extend
several filaments (hairs)
- habit is a low, dense mounded shrub (much smaller than D. scabra)
