Located in area in middle of Grad Dorms.

  • leaves opposite, lanceolate (longer than wide), with serrated margins
  • leaves light green
  • buds rounded, brown, imbricate
  • stems slender, smooth, yellow-brown
  • flowers white, in racemes, in mid-spring
  • fruit is a round capsule with a pore on top, though which extend several filaments (hairs)
  • habit is a low, dense mounded shrub (much smaller than D. scabra)
