  • stems green, smooth, round, arching, sparsely branched
  • flowers yellow, rose-like, in early spring; flowers are often double on cultivars
  • fruit are usually not seen
  • habit is a multi-stemmed, suckering shrub with an arching habit
  • plant retains green color in winter
