  • leaves may revert to green, with green-leaved branches present
  • buds green, imbricate, divergent
  • stems smooth, green
  • flowers and fruit inconsequential
  • habit is a small shrub
  • plant grows erect (not scrambling on ground), may climb as a vine via rootlets if a support is present
