Located on Picea abies near chemistry building and infirmary.
- leaves alternate, compound, trifoliate (3 leaflets)
- leaves glossy dark green, with slightly serrated margin
- buds pointed, imbricate, orange-brown
- stems thick, coarse, gray-brown, smooth
- stems form "hair-like" aerial rootlets along length which
allow plant to attach to trees
- flowers green-yellow, in axillary clusters, in spring
- fruit is a white-yellow berry, in clusters, ripening in early fall
- habit is usually a vigorous, self-clinging vine with stems that
branch out perpendicular to trunk
- plant may also be found as a low shrub
- plant contains an irritating oil in all its parts, thus contact
should be avoided
