Located on left side of Dean's rental house on 195, climbing Morus
alba.
- leaves alternate, evergreen, deep glossy green all year
- leaves have two morphologies: juvenile and adult
- juvenile leaves have 3 to 5 lobes, whitish veins
- adult leaves rhombic to ovate, rounded base, lighter green
- stems slender, brown/gray, with rootlets that attach to supports
- stems may become thick and woody with age, bark furrowed and gnarled
- habit is a self-attaching woody vine or groundcover that roots at
nodes
- flowering and fruiting occur only on "adult" forms of
plants
- flowering often occurs only on old plants that are climbing a vertical
surface like a tree
- flowers green/white, in umbels, in late summer/early autumn
- fruit a black drupe
