Located in planting near psychology building, across from Dodd Center.

  • leaves deciduous, alternate, tiny, trifoliate, under 1" long, medium green
  • buds small, ovoid, alternate, imbricate
  • stems thin, green all year, somewhat winged
  • stems become gray/brown colored when old
  • flowers pea-like, bright yellow, profuse, in May
  • fruit are small 2" leguminous pods
  • habit is a multi-stemmed shrub, to 6'
  • habit arching and rounded; fine textured
  • plant can look ratty with age
