Located on left side of the Rainbow House near patio.

  • leaves alternate (appear whorled), evergreen, ovate, lightly toothed
  • leaves glossy dark green (yellow during winter in exposed sites); new growth light green
  • stems slender, upright, smooth, greenish
  • flowers white, small, in terminal upright spikes, in early spring
  • fruit not seen
  • habit is an evergreen, low groundcover, under 1' tall
  • habit rhizomatous and dense
