Pachysandra terminalis
Japanese Pachysandra
Located on left side of the Rainbow House near patio.
- leaves alternate (appear whorled), evergreen, ovate, lightly toothed
- leaves glossy dark green (yellow during winter in exposed sites);
new growth light green
- stems slender, upright, smooth, greenish
- flowers white, small, in terminal upright spikes, in early spring
- fruit not seen
- habit is an evergreen, low groundcover, under 1' tall
- habit rhizomatous and dense
