Located in the pharmacy garden along wall.
- leaves opposite, evergreen, oblong or elliptic
- leaves glossy deep green, .5" to 1" long
- stems smooth, green, exude white sap when broken
- flowers tubular, blue/violet, 1" across, solitary
- flowers profuse in early spring, sporadic thereafter
- fruit usually not seen
- habit is a low, evergreen, mat-forming groundcover
- habit prostrate with weak, wiry stems, seldom taller than 6"
