Located in the pharmacy garden along wall.

  • leaves opposite, evergreen, oblong or elliptic
  • leaves glossy deep green, .5" to 1" long
  • stems smooth, green, exude white sap when broken
  • flowers tubular, blue/violet, 1" across, solitary
  • flowers profuse in early spring, sporadic thereafter
  • fruit usually not seen
  • habit is a low, evergreen, mat-forming groundcover
  • habit prostrate with weak, wiry stems, seldom taller than 6"
