Abies fraseri

Located on the northeast side of Hawley Armory.
- needles short (.5"-1"), borne densely on stems
- needles dark green above, lighter stomatal bands below
- needle tips are blunt and notched
- needles borne mostly on top side of stems
- branches short, narrow form
- cones disintegrate when mature, not found on ground
- leaf scars round and like "suction cup"
- young bark smooth with resin blisters, more plated with age
