Eagleville Rd. and Glenbrook Rd.
- needles deciduous, tree bare in winter
- needles light green in spring, deep green in summer, orange/brown
in fall
- needles borne from spur-like growths along stems
- needles without stomatal bands underneath, unlike Pseudolarix
- spurs shorter than Pseudolarix, less distinct constrictions
between growth rings
- cones with reflexed scales, rose-like appearance
- cones remain on tree when mature, unlike Pseudolarix
- habit more twiggy than Pseudolarix, rough texture in winter
