Picea omorika

Located in median planter between Fine Arts complex and South Dorm
lots.
- needles 1" long, dark green on top, lighter blue underneath
- needles flattened and relatively thin, unusual for Picea
- needles much thinner than Picea abies
- side branches have ascending tips
- branchlets hang down from side branches
- habit very narrow and pyramidal
- form similar to Picea abies, but much more narrow
- cones 2-3" long, bracts broad and rounded
- cones much shorter than Picea abies
