Located in median planter between Fine Arts complex and South Dorm lots.

  • needles 1" long, dark green on top, lighter blue underneath
  • needles flattened and relatively thin, unusual for Picea
  • needles much thinner than Picea abies
  • side branches have ascending tips
  • branchlets hang down from side branches
  • habit very narrow and pyramidal
  • form similar to Picea abies, but much more narrow
  • cones 2-3" long, bracts broad and rounded
  • cones much shorter than Picea abies
