- needles short, .5", very thin and fine-textured
- needles borne densely on twigs
- needle color bright green in summer, yellowish cast in winter
- habit dense, tight pyramidal shape, "soft" look and feel
- cones not seen on this cultivar
- branches may revert to species-type with larger growth
- form of cultivar is dwarf relative to species
