  • needles long and awl-like, white line on upper-side
  • needles blue-green in summer, bronze in winter
  • needles lack white lines underneath
  • needles sharp-pointed, in groups of 3
  • habit creeping with loose, floppy branches
  • habit very low, seldom more than 1' tall
