Located on North side of Swan Lake.
- leaves deciduous, thin, feathery, 2-ranked on branchlets
- leaves light green in summer, orange/brown in autumn
- leaves borne on short, deciduous branchlets
- buds tiny, difficult to see
- buds borne alternate on stems
- habit pyramidal when young, more irregular with age
- branches extend horizontally from main trunk
- trunk base swollen, buttressed
- bark fissured vertically, reddish-brown
- plant forms odd root extensions or "knees" which grow
above soil or water when plant is in wet locale
