  • stems green when young, smooth

  • fruit red, fleshy, berry-like, persists in winter
  • fruit only borne on female clones
  • habit broad pyramidal tree, symmetrical, 15'-30' tall
  • habit with a single trunk (or more), upright, not shrubby
